1st night ride of the year, forcing myself to go out, soo cold! but strapped the lumicycle lights on and met Matt, after loitering in the almost warm confines of his garage we ventured out, once out and warmed up it’s fine and the icy corners keep you on your toes
this shot taken whilst short cutting through a college, tried to get a bit of motion blur, worked up to a point.
super icy ride today, some parts almost impassable or only do-able by sitting on the top tube and scooting along with both feet down
riders Ian, Stu, Matt and myself
pic is of the (thankfully mostly ice free, aithough blind corners were “interesting”) fast descent through Pepper wood with Ian drafting and passing me
3rd of Jan, a very frosty ride!, met Stu for the first time today a guy my regular riding buddy Matt knows, he insists on wearing shorts whatever the weather, knee warmers for me!!
ride via the canal-upwards to keep warm
frozen ground today made things easier than the usual mud, met a walker in the middle of nowwhere and had an informative chat about badgers! he didn’t ask why i was repeatedly riding up and down this descent towards a camera on a gorrilapod tripod, i guess he thought he was not going to chance the fact i might be some sort of nutball!
i have a goal of documenting a years riding through pictures and random musings and this is the first, although only now, in June have i found the time to start a blog to go with it, hoping this will motivate me to ride through the winter and beyond
this ride, cold but crisp ride through the Warwickshire countryside
total 12 miles
